MASPLAS 2009

The 2009 Mid-Atlantic Student workshop on Programming Languages And Systems will be held on Saturday, April 18th, at Haverford College in Haverford, PA.

The MASPLAS meetings provide a venue for graduate and undergraduate students to present their research and obtain constructive comments on their research and presentation from faculty, industry researchers, and fellow students. MASPLAS is not a reviewed conference, and the organizers of the MASPLAS consider these papers to be of the same unpublished status as research technical reports posted on the Internet. It is thus an appropriate venue for either preliminary research or a practice presentation for work already accepted at a more prestigious conference in the summer/fall (ASE/FSE, PLDI, PODC, SOSP, etc.).

MASPLAS 2009 will include

• Keynote address by Satish Chandra: I Live in Morbid Fear of False Positives
• Presentations of papers
• Poster session
• Research software demonstration session
• Informal/social contact time (lunch, breaks, etc.)
