Four Amazing Days and Over a Thousand Amazing Women |

The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The conference is held in honor of one of the most important figures in the history of women in science, Grace Hopper, a computer scientist and Naval Officer who paved the way for women in computing. The conference is designed to bring together women in the field of computer science, from undergraduates to graduates to professors to those in the industry. This unique opportunity brings together women from all walks of life to collaborate, network, and plan for the future. It is an occasion to celebrate how far women have come in the field of computer science, and at the same it is an occasion to remind ourselves of how far we still have to go.Though she passed away in 1992, Grace Hopper's spirit is alive and well, and she lives on in the hearts and minds of each and every conference attendee. It is now our duty to pass along this spirit and spread the word about the importance of women in computer science. |
